Replacement needed
The 31-year-old former RC Celta de Vigo and FC Barcelona custodian has suffered from back trouble and needs several months to recover. Dutruel has urged the French club to look for a replacement, leaving chief executive Marc Keller to praise the player's "exemplary honesty".
Long lay-off
François Piétra, of Strasbourg's medical staff, predicted Dutruel would be out of action for several months. Piétra said: "His back is worn out, it's osteoarthritis." The news will come as a bitter disappointment for Dutruel, who returned to France last August after seven years in Spain and has played 24 matches for Strasbourg.
