New start for Neuville

Members

Germany striker Oliver Neuville is leaving Bayer 04 Leverkusen to sign for VfL Borussia Mönchengladbach.

Free transfer
The 31-year-old moves on a free transfer and has agreed a two-year contract. Joining him at the Bökelbergstadion will be 27-year-old goalkeeper Darius Kampa, who arrives from newly promoted 1. FC Nürnberg and has committed himself to Mönchengladbach until 2007.

Leverkusen captures
With Neuville departing, UEFA Champions League qualifiers Leverkusen have boosted their attacking options by signing strikers Jacek Krzynowek and Andriy Voronin on free transfers.

Ins and outs
Polish international Krzynowek, 28, has been recruited from Nürnberg, although the length of his contract is unknown. Ukrainian international Voronin, 24, has left relegated 1. FC Köln to pen a one-year deal. It could be a busy close season for Leverkusen, with Turkish international playmaker Yildiray Bastürk also expected to leave the club soon.

Changes upstairs
There are changes upstairs, too. Jürgen Kohler, the club's sporting director, is leaving, having cited his preference for a coaching role. Assistant manager Ilja Kaenzig is joining Hannover 96, while managing director Wolfgang Holzhäuser will move to a position at the German Football League.

Trio released
Meanwhile, Mönchengladbach, who finished eleventh in the Bundesliga, have released goalkeepers Jörg Stiel and Claus Reitmaier as well as defender Sladjan Asanin.
