News round-up: Gerald Vanenburg has announced his departure as coach of relegated TSV 1860 München.

With the Bundesliga season having come to an end on Saturday, a number of German clubs have already started planning for next season, with former Dutch international Gerald Vanenburg announcing his departure as coach of relegated TSV 1860 München.

Five-match spell
Vanenburg took charge of the Munich club for the last five games of the season after arriving from PSV Eindhoven where he was youth coach. He announced his decision to step down after discussions with club president Karl Auer and sporting director Dirk Dufner on Sunday. "I want to work for the coaching 'A' licence in the Netherlands and this will take a lot of time," Vanenburg said. "It is important for the club to work with a coach who is available night and day."

Fernando fracture
Staying with 1860, Brazilian defender Fernando has sustained a fracture of his right foot. The 24-year-old, who joined the club in the winter break from CR Flamengo, will require between six and eight weeks' rest.

Kiraly calls time
One player leaving Germany is Hungarian international Gábor Kiraly who is bidding farewell to Hertha BSC Berlin after seven years with the club. The goalkeeper has announced his intention to find a club in England.

Marchand leaves
In France, coach Bertrand Marchand's two seasons in charge of EA Guingamp have come to an end following the side's relegation from Ligue 1. "We cannot start next season with him," said chairman Noël Le Graët after Guingamp finished 18th.

Muff move
It has also been a busy day in Switzerland, with FC Zürich forward André Muff agreeing a three-year contract with Grasshopper-Club. The 23-year-old spent three years with the club between 1997 and 2000.

More signings
Also on the move in a three-year deal is Neuchâtel Xamax FC goalkeeper Patrick Bettoni, who is joining BSC Young Boys. FC Aarau, meanwhile, have snapped up Armenian defender Harut Vardanjan on a two-year contract, the former Young Boys player leaving Servette FC after one season.

Brazilian boost
Finally, FC Volendam – who are currently involved in the promotion/relegation play-offs in the Netherlands - have announced the signing of Alair Vincento Cruz from AZ Alkmaar. The 23-year-old Brazilian midfield player has signed a two-year deal. He has spent most of the past three years with Alkmaar's reserve side, working with Job Dragtsma who will take charge of Volendam next season.
