'Worst moment'
Celta chairman Horacio Gómez said the club would be forced to offload their big names as they prepare for next season in the Segunda Divisón. Gómez described Celta's relegation as "one of the worst moments" of his 15 years on the board at the Balaídos.
Chance for youngsters
Ilic will join two other on-loan players, Mauricio Pinilla and Savo Milosevic, in leaving Celta. It remains to be seen whether they will return to their respective clubs - FK Partizan, AC Chievo Verona and AC Parma - or find new employers. Gómez added that Celta would turn to their youth system for next season, after a disastrous campaign that started in the UEFA Champions League and finished in relegation.
