German club 1. FC Nürnberg have tied coach Wolfgang Wolf and last season's leading scorer Marek Mintal to long-term contracts after securing promotion back to the Bundesliga.
Promotion mastermind
Wolf, who masterminded Nürnberg's promotion, has extended his contract by two years until June 2007, while Slovakian Mintal, whose previous deal also ran out in 2005, will now remain at the Frankenstadion until 2008.
Top scorer
The striker joined the club in July 2003 from Slovakian champions MŠK Zilina and played a major role in Nürnberg 's promotion campaign, scoring 18 goals.
Bounced back
Wolf could not prevent Nürnberg being relegated from the Bundesliga when he took as coach from Klaus Augenthaler in April last year, but steered the club back into the top flight at the first time of asking.
