Narrow success
Despite losing 2-1 to the Liechtenstein side in the second leg of their promotion/relegation play-off game on Monday, Xamax will live to fight another season in Switzerland's top division thanks to a 2-0 win in the first leg of the play-off on Saturday.
M'Futi goal
However Xamax, who finished ninth in the ten-team Swiss Football League, were made to sweat for their victory after going two goals behind to their second division opponents before half-time after strikes from Franz Burgmeier on 12 minutes and Steve Gohouri on 35 levelled the tie. However, a goal from their Congolese player Mobulu M'Futi ten minutes after the break proved to be decisive.
