Torpedo return to summit

Members

FC Torpedo Moskva are back on top of the Russia Premier-Liga after FC Zenit St. Peterburg lost at home.

Late goals

Leaders slump
The next day, Zenit dropped three points even though Czech defender Pavel Mareš had given them a 35th-minute lead. But Robertas Poškus levelled on 50 minutes and then four minutes from time Andrei Karyaka secured an away win that leaves Zenit in fourth.

CSKA derby triumph
PFC CSKA Moskva are up to second after a 2-0 derby win at FC Spartak Moskva on Saturday. Cameroonian defender Luke Zoah put through his own net in the eighth minute and Ivica Olic sealed Spartak's fourth defeat in a row.

Lokomotiv rise
FC Lokomotiv Moskva completed an all-capital top three thanks to a 2-1 win at FC Alania Vladikavkaz. Russian international striker Dmitri Sytchev sustained a hip injury and was substituted on 37 minutes, but the match was decided in the final quarter of an hour. First, Lokomotiv captain Dmitri Loskov gave the visitors the lead, and although Christian Tudor equalised six minutes later, James Obiorah scored on the break to ensure victory.

Dinamo joy
FC Dinamo Moskva overcame recent poor league form to beat FC Moskva 1-0 in Sunday's other game, while Pablo Ginazu and Petr Bystrov were on target as FC Saturn Moskovskaya Oblast overcame bottom side SC Rotor Volgograd 2-0. Alexander Shutov scored twice to help FC Amkar Perm to a 2-2 draw with FC Rubin Kazan, but Lyubomir Kastonistov went one better with a hat-trick as FC Kuban Krasnodar defeated FC Rostov 3-1.
