Blackburn Rovers FC have signed Javier De Pedro on a free transfer from Real Sociedad de Fútbol.

Two-year deal De Pedro was a Real youth product and in 2002/03 claimed more assists than any other Primera División player as his club finished runners-up, qualifying for a UEFA Champions League campaign in which he appeared three times. The 30-year-old, capped 12 times by Spain, has signed a two-year contract at Blackburn.
