Club commitment
Left-back Garrido, whose contract was about to expire, has signed a three-year deal that will keep the 19-year-old at the club until June 2007. Central defender Labaka had also faced an uncertain future, but has now committed to another two seasons at Real. The 23-year-old spent last season on loan with Segunda División side CF Ciudad de Murcia.
Gurrutxaga exit
But Real will not be renewing the contract of Labaka's fellow defender Zuhaitz Gurrutxaga, who will become a free agent on 30 June. Gurrutxaga, 23, is a product of the youth team at the Anoeta and made his first-team début against Club Atlético de Madrid in January 2000.
