Vercoutre heads to Strasbourg

Olympique Lyonnais goalkeeper Rémi Vercoutre has moved to RC Strasbourg on a season-long loan deal.

Substitute hero
The 23-year-old will finally escape the shadow of France international Grégory Coupet at the Gerland stadium and will hope to gain first-team experience as a replacement for Richard Dutruel, who is out with a long-term injury. Vercoutre played just five games for Lyon last season, though that included a fine substitute appearance in the club's 1-0 UEFA Champions League defeat of Real Sociedad de Futbol.

Lastùvka leaves Baník
Highly promising Czech goalkeeper Jan Lastùvka has moved from FC Baník Ostrava to Ukrainian side FC Shakhtar Donetsk for an undisclosed fee. The 21-year-old kept eleven clean sheets for the Czech champions last season. He has signed a five-year deal.

Albacete adios
Albacete Balompié have parted company with striker Sebastián Fernández 'Basti'. The 29-year-old, who has spent three seasons at the Carlos Belmonte stadium, scored 19 goals in 95 appearances in the for Albacete, after eight seasons at Málaga CF.

Málaga release duo
Staying at La Rosaleda, Málaga will not be renewing the contracts of strikers Manuel Canabal and Federico Insúa. Canabal, 29, ends a four-year spell at the club. Argentinian international Insúa arrived last summer on loan from CA Independiente but Málaga have decided not to exercise their option to secure the player permanently

Djurgårdens land Larsen
Brøndby IF striker Søren Larsen has joined Swedish side Djurgårdens FF. The 22-year-old, who made just one substitute appearance for the Danish team, spent last season on loan at BK Frem København, but his eleven goals in 31 games could not rescue the club from relegation. Brøndby chief executive Per Bjerregaarf said: "Søren Larsen did well at Frem but he is not in our plans for the coming season."
