Ion Marin has stepped down as coach of Romanian club FC Farul Constanta by mutual consent.
Target missed
Marin has left Farul after leading the side to ninth place last season, missing the target of a top-six berth and UEFA Intertoto Cup entry. He had one year to run on his contract. Cristian Camui will act as caretaker coach.
Pierre move
Meanwhile, FC Universitatea Craiova have signed experienced attacking midfield player Frédéric Pierre. The 30-year-old former Belgian international has signed a one-year contract with an option for a further season having been persuaded to join by coach Mircea Rednic, who has a house in Belgium.
