Mihai Stoichita has stepped down as coach of Romanian side FC Farul Constanta after only two weeks in charge.
'Not sufficient'
He had agreed a two-year contract, but was angered at the depletion of his squad. Stoichita, whose side have won only one of their five summer friendlies, said: "FC Farul have lost five very important players and could not bring even one adequate replacement. There are only six top-level players here and this is not sufficient in order to achieve the aim of the club to gain a top-five finish this season. I wanted to do a good job, but this is not possible and there is no reason to fool anyone."
'He had to be patient'
Club president Marcel Lica responded to the former Armenia coach: "I think that Mr Stoichita took this decision too easily. Of course, he is used to working at certain standards, but he had to be patient."
