Honours even in Moscow derby

Members

A 3-3 draw against PFC CSKA Moskva helped FC Torpedo Moskva stretch their lead at the top of the table.

Pulsating derby
A pulsating derby saw CSKA jump into a 2-0 lead through goals from Jiri Jarosík and Ivica Olic, but Torpedo hit back in stunning fashion, rocking the home side with three goals in a three-minute burst from the 67th minute that seemed to have swung the game the leaders' way.

Lebedenko double
Igor Lebedenko scored twice before Igor Semshov put Torpedo in command, but the latter then missed an excellent chance soon after to put the result beyond doubt.

Kirichenko leveller
And Semshov and Torpedo were made to pay in the closing stages by the in-form Dmitri Kirichenko, scorer of the fastest goal in a UEFA European Championship in Russia's recent 2-1 win over Greece, whose precise drive earned CSKA a share of the points.

Zenit falter
The draw was still enough for Torpedo to move a further point clear of second-placed FC Zenit St. Peterburg, who are now four points adrift after losing 2-1 away at FC Rostov.

Perez seals points
Martin Gorak put Zenit ahead before the break but Rostov seized the initiative after the restart and drew level through Alexander Alkhazov on 81 minutes. Uruguayan Omar Perec then hit a dramatic late winner on 90 minutes.

Kariaka strikes again
FC Krylya Sovetov Samara climbed above CSKA into third spot with a 4-2 win against FC Alania Vladikavkaz, Russia international Andrei Kariaka again among the scorers with his 13th goal of the campaign.

Rotor fall again
Bottom side SC Rotor Volgograd slumped to their tenth league defeat of the season, 1-0 at home against FC Rubin Kazan. Elsewhere, FC Kuban Krasnodar and FC Dinamo Moskva drew 0-0 and newly-promoted FC Amkar Perm held FC Saturn Moskovskaya Oblast to a 1-1 draw at the Saturn stadium.
