Galatasaray SK legend Suat Kaya has played his last game after 12 consecutive seasons at the club.

Galatasaray SK's veteran midfield player Suat Kaya has retired after bidding a final farewell to the crowd at the Ali Sami Yen stadium for his testimonial match on Wednesday.

Galatasaray legend
Suat began his career at Galatasaray in 1986 before moving to Konyaspor for four years.  He returned for 1992/93 and went on to clock up 239 games over the subsequent 12 seasons. The 36-year-old was a member of the Istanbul club's legendary squad that won four league titles in a row in the late 1990s and lifted the UEFA Cup in 2000 after a penalty shoot-out victory against Arsenal FC in Copenhagen.

Youth coach
Suat, who also won 15 international caps for Turkey, will now work as a coach in Galatasaray's youth academy.
