Free transfer
The 28-year-old Király's free transfer from Hertha BSC Berlin has been rubber-stamped after he struggled to hold down a first-team place with the Bundesliga club. "He's an international keeper who has played a huge amount of times for Hungary," said Palace manager Iain Dowie. "I want Gábor to push [current No1] Julian Speroni very, very hard."
Dowie delight
Meanwhile, centre-back Hall has joined from Southampton FC in a €2.2m deal. "I worked with Fitz at Oldham and I'm delighted to add him to the squad," Dowie said. "He can play at the back or in midfield and I know he will be a top-class player for Crystal Palace for many years to come."
