Popov swaps CSKA for Kuban

Domestic honours
The 25-year-old PFC CSKA Moskva forward, who has been used mostly as a substitute by the capital club this term, will bolster a Kuban team lying second from bottom of the table. Popov, previously with FC Chernomorets Novorossyisk, has scored 19 goals in 68 games over four seasons with CSKA, winning both major domestic honours.

Double deal
Popov is the second signing of the week at Kuban after 18-year-old Alexiy Antonov arrived from Ukrainian side FC Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk. Antonov has played for the Ukraine Under-19 team.
