Bohemians complete Farrelly coup

Members

Bohemian FC have appointed the Irish international Gareth Farrelly as their new player-manager.

Youngest manager
The 28-year-old may be the youngest manager in the Irish top flight, but the Bohemians board are confident the Dubliner can bring success to the club. Farrelly will be assisted by Gary Howlett, the head coach who was placed in temporary charge following the sacking of Stephen Kenny three weeks ago. Howlett will continue to preside over the first team for the next three weeks.

Three internationals
Farrelly made his name in England with Aston Villa FC, Everton FC and Bolton Wanderers FC, although injuries took their toll in recent seasons and he spent much of his time on loan outside the Premiership. Bohemians now have three internationals on their books, with forwards Glen Crowe and Dominic Foley also being capped by Ireland.
