Oleh Fedorchuk has succeeded Anatoly Zayaev as coach of Ukrainian side FC Tavriya Simferopol.

Vice-president's role
Zayaev relinquished control of the team following Sunday's 1-0 defeat by FC Obolon Kyiv, which left his side with only three points from their opening six Ukrainian Premier League fixtures. However the 72-year-old, whose coaching career began with FC Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk in 1979, will remain at Tavriya in his previous role as vice-president, with a wide-ranging brief ranging from helping the youth team to assisting with the club's external relations.

'Pre-arranged step'
"I had to resign and the game with Obolon was not decisive," said Zayaev. "My resignation was a pre-arranged step. Due to our team's transfer arrangements this summer, I simply was not able to prepare the team for a new season."
