UEFA pitches in for LFF

Hattrick

A prototype mini-pitch has been presented by UEFA to the Lithuanian Football Federation.

Secondary school
The ceremony at the Emilija Pliateryte secondary school in Vilnius was attended by UEFA vice-president Geoffrey Thompson, UEFA assistance programmes assistant Gabrielle Chassot-Athekame and local officials.

UEFA offer
UEFA's HatTrick Board has decided to offer a prototype mini-pitch (21x13m) to each UEFA member association, as European football's governing body celebrates its Golden Jubilee. The mini-pitch in question should be installed near to the association's headquarters and possibly close to, or on the premises of, a school.

Children target
The UEFA gift is for the particular use of children in Zirmunai, the largest district of Vilnius. The LFF also presented its 'Let's bring back children to the stadium' grassroots project to the guests at the ceremony.
