Cajuda to lead Beira-Mar

SC Beira-Mar have appointed Manuel Cajuda as their new coach after the surprise departure of Mick Wadsworth.

Personal reasons
Cajuda began the season with UEFA Cup contenders CS Marítimo but left after the opening league match, a 3-0 defeat at CF Os Belenenses. The 53-year-old had helped Marítimo qualify for Europe by virtue of their sixth-place finish last season. The vacancy at Beira-Mar arose when Wadsworth stood down at the start of the week, citing personal reasons. Assistant coach José Alberto Costa is also leaving the Aveiro side.
