Punishment accepted
The player's sample showed high levels of the banned substance nonandrostrolon and the second test produced similar results. NAC supported Petö in his claims of innocence, however, and today the club accepted the Royal Netherlands Football Association's punishment of a 20-match ban, ten matches of which will be suspended.
Knee injury
NAC club doctor Alex Fiévez said: "Tamás has said he has not used any doping and we believe him and back him in that." The 30-year-old Petö - capped 19 times by Hungary - has not played since April when he suffered knee ligament damage.
