Milan pair seek victories

AC Milan and FC Internazionale Milano go in search of their first Serie A wins this weekend after their disappointing 2-2 draws against AS Livorno Calcio and AC Chievo Verona in the opening round of the season last week.

Inzaghi ready
Champions Milan visit Bologna FC on Sunday with striker Filippo Inzaghi ready to return to action after recovering from his ankle injury. Christian Abbiati will replace goalkeeper Dida, who is suspended after being sent off in the match against Livorno.

Palermo visit San Siro
Tomorrow Inter are at home to Serie A newcomers US Città di Palermo, who are flying high after beating AC Siena last weekend in their first match in Serie A for three decades. Obafemi Martins has recovered from his muscle injury and gives Inter coach Roberto Mancini a further option in attack. Luca Toni is doubtful for the visitors with a slight muscle injury even if the Italy striker has a good chance of recovering in time.

Juve's bright start
Fabio Capello's Juventus FC had the most impressive result last weekend, winning 3-0 at Brescia Calcio. The Bianconeri then won at AFC Ajax in their opening UEFA Champions League fixture and morale will be high when they host Atalanta BC on Sunday. Pavel Nedved has fully recovered from the knock that forced him to limp out of the game at the Amsterdam ArenA but Capello is expected to rest him and field Alessandro Del Piero just behind David Trezeguet and Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

Totti doubtful
AS Roma could be without captain Francesco Totti when they visit FC Messina Peloro. The Italian international suffered a calf injury during the abandoned Champions League match against FC Dynamo Kyiv. Cristian Chivu and Mido are still unavailable due to injuries, while Antonio Cassano is suspended after being sent off in the 1-0 win over ACF Fiorentina.

Lazio unchanged
The other Rome club, S.S. Lazio, have started the season with victories in Serie A and the UEFA Cup and coach Domenico Caso is expected to name the same team who won 1-0 at UC Sampdoria for the home game against Reggina Calcio. The visitors are without the suspended Daniele Franceschini.

New boys meet
Cagliari Calcio defeated Bologna last weekend and next up for Gianfranco Zola's side is a visit to another of the promoted teams, Fiorentina. The Viola are without striker Christian Riganò but Japanese midfield player Hidetoshi Nakata has recovered from his thigh injury and will likely start the game from the substitutes' bench.

Elsewhere
UEFA Cup contenders Udinese Calcio and Parma FC face each other at the Friuli stadium on Sunday night, while Livorno-Chievo, Siena-Sampdoria and US Lecce-Brescia complete the schedule.
