Article body
Tottenham Hotspur FC were held to a 0-0 draw by Premiership newcomers Norwich City FC in a game dominated by goalkeepers on Sunday.
England trio
The home side welcomed back Jermain Defoe, Ledley King and goalkeeper Paul Robinson to White Hart Lane after the trio had starred for England against Poland on Wednesday, but it was Robinson's opposite number - and international deputy - Robert Green, who won the plaudits.
Green saves
Jacques Santini's side created numerous chances, but were repeatedly denied by the 24-year-old, making only his fifth start in the English top-flight. Defoe, Jamie Redknapp and Frédéric Kanouté all had shots saved, and Defoe saw one effort come back off the upright, before Norwich began to threaten Robinson's goal midway through the second half.
Timely intervention
Former Leeds United AFC keeper Robinson twice denied Darren Huckerby before the striker threatened to take all three points as the game neared its conclusion, but was denied, this time by a last-gasp tackle from King. The result means winless Norwich move up to 17th while undefeated Tottenham remain in sixth.
