Udinese Calcio midfield player Marek Jankulovski has signed a contract extension to commit himself to the Serie A club until 2008.
Outside interest
Jankulovski scored six goals last season to attract the interest of several top clubs as Udinese finished seventh in Serie A. The 27-year-old Czech Republic international joined Udinese in 2002 from SSC Napoli and previously played for FC Baník Ostrava. He has appeared for his country 37 times, scoring six goals.
Slow start to season
Udinese were defeated by Greek side Panionios NFC in the UEFA Cup first round and have made a poor start to the current league campaign, winning just one of their first six matches.
