Leverkusen agreed to cancel the 31-year-old's contract, allowing him to move to Häcken, who will play in the Allsvenskan in 2005. "This is a real coup for us," Häcken sporting director Carl Fhager said.

Lucic, who did not appear for Leverkusen in their successful UEFA Champions League group stage campaign, had been linked with a transfer to his former club IFK Göteborg. They instead have signed Swedish Under-18 international Mattis Bjärsmyr from Husqvarna FF.
