Evseev extends at Lokomotiv

Members

Vadim Evseev has become the latest player to commit his future to FC Lokomotiv Moskva.

Three-year contract
The 28-year-old’s rolling contract was due to expire on 31 December but under the new deal he will with stay with Lokomotiv until the end of 2007. In the 2004 season Evseev scored four goals in 27 league games. He has been capped 16 times by Russia and has scored one goal, the winner in the UEFA EURO 2004™ play-off against Wales.

Happy to stay
It had seemed that Evseev would not be staying with the 2005/06 UEFA Champions League entrants after a dispute with club coach Yuri Semin earlier this season, which had generated interest from his former club FC Spartak Moskva. However, like captain Dmitri Loskov who agreed a new deal earlier this week, Evseev has decided to stay put.
