'No big changes'
The 56-year-old former AC Siena coach and ex-Lazio player has signed a six-month contract. "I don't need to make any big changes because Lazio have a good squad. I think the players have lost a bit of confidence and I hope to bring it back," Papadopulo said.
'Di Canio spirit'
"I want eleven players with the same spirit as [Paolo] Di Canio," he continued. "He's a real Lazio fan and he's always ready to give everything for the team. I hope the other players will follow his example."
Slow progress
Under Caso, Lazio failed to progress beyond the UEFA Cup group stage and took just 17 points from 16 Italian league games. Lazio, the fifth Serie A team to change coach this term, following Roma, ACF Fiorentina, Atalanta BC and Parma FC, are currently 15th, four points off the relegation zone.
