Chelsea FC and Bolton Wanderers FC will join ten other Premiership teams in tomorrow's draw for the last 16 of the FA Cup after winning in the third round today.
Headed goals
Central defenders Robert Huth and John Terry headed a goal in each half to complete a comfortable 2-0 win for Chelsea against Birmingham City FC at Stamford Bridge. Chelsea manager José Mourinho, whose side remain on course for a domestic treble and face FC Barcelona in the last 16 of the UEFA Champions League next month, omitted several regular players but nevertheless saw his team extend their unbeaten run to 12 matches.
Early goal
The day's other tie was settled by Ricardo Vaz Té, whose solitary goal for Bolton eliminated Oldham Atheltic FC at Boundary Park. The Portuguese striker headed in Ricardo Gardner's early cross to settle the Premiership side's nerves against their lower-league opponents.
Monday draw
Fulham FC, West Bromwich Albion FC and Tottenham Hotspur FC will all be in the draw on Monday lunchtime but face replays before the fifth round. Arsenal FC, Blackburn Rovers FC, Charlton Athletic FC, Everton FC, Newcastle United FC, Southampton FC and holders Manchester United FC all progressed on Saturday.
