Thierry Henry strengthened his position at the top of the ESM Golden Shoe standings with another goal over the festive period to increase his lead in the race to be Europe's top scorer.
Christmas cheer
The Arsenal FC striker struck against Fulham FC on 26 December to take his Premiership goal tally to 16 for the season, giving him a points total of 32. Wisla Kraków's Tomasz Frankowski and Frode Johnsen of Rosenborg BK remain joint-second on 28.5 points.
Eto'o enjoyment
FC Barcelona’s Cameroonian striker Samuel Eto'o climbed up to joint seventh place win a late winner against Levante UD on 21 December, while John Hartson of Celtic FC struck against Livingston FC on 2 January to move joint-eleventh.
Big climbers
Crystal Palace FC's Andrew Johnson and Nacho Novo of Rangers FC both scored over the festive period to climb from joint 41st position to, respectively, joint-19th and joint-22nd. Total Network Solutions FC's Marc Lloyd-Williams also found the net, in the League of Wales.
