The Primera División club have the option of signing the player on a permanent contract in the summer. Romeo scored 35 goals in 77 appearances for Hamburg after moving to Germany in a €5.5m deal from CA San Lorenzo Almagro three years ago but was deemed surplus to requirements by coach Thomas Doll.
