Relegation threat
Colomba's reign at Livorno ended after just six months. The Tuscan club are 15th in Serie A, four points above the relegation places after back-to-back defeats against FC Internazionale Milano and Juventus FC.
Previous experience
Former AC Milan midfield player Donadoni, who has signed a contract until 2006, coached Livorno in the 2002/03 campaign when they finished tenth in Serie B. The 41-year-old had been without a club since the start of last season, when he was sacked by Genoa 1893 after just three games in charge.
Another casualty
Livorno are the seventh Serie A team to change coach this term, following AS Roma, ACF Fiorentina, Atalanta BC, Parma FC, S.S. Lazio and AC Siena.
