The 33-year-old damaged the anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee during a training session yesterday and will travel to his native Germany next week to see a specialist.
'Out for the season'
A statement on the Scottish club's website said: "Rangers FC can confirm that Stefan Klos injured his right knee in training yesterday, sustaining damage to his anterior cruciate ligament. He will be out for the remainder of the season and our medical team expects Stefan to make a full recovery and return to the squad for pre-season training."
