Wintry weather
But while the spring season is up and running, the wintry weather continues in this tiny landlocked state, with only four of the seven games scheduled for 19/20 February beating the freeze. That meant the much-anticipated match between SP Tre Penne and SP Libertas was postponed.
Group leaders
Tre Penne and Libertas lead Group A and Group B of the Championship respectively, and the 20 February encounter would have been a good chance to check out their prospective opponents in the end-of-season play-offs.
Surviving games
In the four games that were played, SP Tre Fiore and S.S. Pennarossa claimed away victories against Group B opponents to raise the pressure on Tre Penne at the top of Group A. Tre Fiore won 3-0 at SC Faetano while Pennarossa prevailed 2-0 at S.S. San Giovanni.
Cailungo thrashed
In the other matches, SP La Fiorita were 2-1 victors against S.S. Folgore while GS Dogana moved to within seven points of Group B leaders Libertas with an emphatic 6-1 success at SP Cailungo.
