Second-half goals from Craig Bellamy and Alan Thompson helped Celtic FC move to within a point of Glasgow rivals Rangers FC at the top of the Scottish Premier League on Wednesday as Martin O'Neill's side won 2-0 away to Inverness Caledonian Thistle FC.
Bellamy opener
After a tight first half, loan signing Bellamy opened the scoring with his third goal in five matches on 63 minutes, sliding the ball in from six metres. Alan Thompson, who had earlier hit the crossbar, made sure of the points from the penalty spot with six minutes to play.
Fifth win
The victory was Celtic's fifth in succession and leaves them one point adrift of Rangers on 74 points from 29 matches, with a game in hand. Inverness remain eighth on 33 points.
