FC Schalke 04 moved clear at the Bundesliga summit thanks to Lincoln’s solitary goal in his side's top-of-the-table encounter with FC Bayern München.

Free-kick winner
The Brazilian midfield player struck the decisive goal with 20 minutes remaining in Gelsenkirchen, his delicate free-kick putting Schalke three points ahead of their Munich rivals.

Meissner magic
In Sunday’s other match, VfB Stuttgart won 2-0 away against BV Borussia Dortmund. Midfield player Silvio Meissner opened the scoring in the 43rd minute before the home side missed a golden opportunity to equalise four minutes into the second half. Fernando Meira was sent off for a foul on Euzebiusz Smolarek in the penalty area but Jan Koller saw his spot-kick saved by Timo Hildebrand.

Points secured
Meissner made the points safe for Stuttgart with a penalty of his own in added time after Christian Wörns had been dismissed for a foul on Alexander Hleb. The victory moves Stuttgart up to third place.
