France 0-2 Canada
In their final international before UEFA WOMEN'S EURO 2005™ in England, France were defeated by Canada in Bischheim.

Unbeaten run ends
Sophie Schmidt opened the scoring on 75 minutes, and two minutes from the end Andrea Neil doubled the lead to end France's four-game unbeaten run. France coach Eisabeth Loisel was without captain Sonia Bompastor against tough opposition, who only lost 3-2 against world and European champions Germany on Sunday.

May preparations
Loisel's side begin their final preparations on 10 May with a three-day medical check-up at the Clairefontaine national training centre. There are two further training camps there from 16-21 May and 24-29 May, ending each time with a training game. The squad for England will be announced on 26 May, and their Group B campaign begins against Italy on 6 June in Preston before further fixtures versus Norway and Germany.
