Bremen part company with Nery

Initial loan
The 27-year-old joined Corinthians on loan in February after only seven months with the outgoing German champions. Bremen sporting director Klaus Allofs said at the time: "We expect Corinthians to make use of their option to make the deal permanent in the next few weeks."

Broken wrist
Nery moved to Bremen from São Paulo FC last summer in a deal reportedly worth €600,000. However, a series of injuries - including a wrist fracture - limited him to three league appearances and he failed to make an impact with this season's UEFA Champions League challengers. Bremen are currently fifth in the Bundesliga, in a UEFA Cup qualifying spot.
