Former Italian international Ferrara spent ten seasons at the San Paolo stadium, winning the Scudetto in 1987 and 1990, and the UEFA Cup in 1989. He joined Juventus in 1994 and since then has added more silverware - the 1996 UEFA Champions League, UEFA Super Cup and European/South American Cup, plus five Italian titles with the Turin giants.
Farewell encounter
The 38-year-old defender, who won 49 caps for the Azzurri before retiring from international football after Italy lost the final of UEFA EURO 2000™, said: "I've decided to stop playing football and I'm organising a nice evening of sport with friends and colleagues on 9 June at the San Paolo stadium in Naples, the place where I started my career."
