Relegation threat
Roks, 42, has agreed an 18-month contract with the Dutch side, who currently occupy 16th position in the 18-team Eredivisie - and so face the threat of a promotion/relegation play-off at the end of the season.
Sparta stint
Roosendaal are Roks's second professional club, as he took charge of Sparta Rotterdam in 2002/03, succeeding Frank Rijkaard following the side's relegation. He previously worked as a youth coach at Sparta from 1986-99, when he became technical manager. For the past year and a half, he has been involved in setting up a youth football project in the Zeeland region.
