Milan swoop for Vogel

The Switzerland midfield player Johann Vogel will leave PSV Eindhoven for AC Milan after the Dutch Cup final.

Three-year deal
Vogel has agreed a three-year deal with the Rossoneri, ending a six-year stay at the Philips stadium having arrived from Grasshopper-Club in 1999. The 28-year-old was part of the midfield triumvirate, alongside Mark van Bommel and Phillip Cocu, which almost inspired PSV to a shock victory against Milan in the Champions League semi-finals before Massimo Ambrosini's late strike denied them.

Double departure
Van Bommel has since announced his departure to FC Barcelona, and Vogel's exit will provide another blow to Guus Hiddink's side. "Milan are a top club," Vogel said, "this is a dream for me." He and Van Bommel will make one last appearance for the Eredivisie champions when PSV play Willem II in the Dutch Cup final on Sunday.
