Creative N'Zogbia
Darren Ambrose opened the scoring on 18 minutes when he reacted quickest following James Milner's knockdown from a left-wing Charles N'Zogbia cross. It was N'Zogbia who also provided the second, setting up Patrick Kluivert to head in his sixth league goal for the club just past the hour.
Ameobi strikes
Shola Ameobi pounced to make it 3-0 with 15 minutes remaining and although Tomasz Radzinski converted Liam Rosenior's pass to claw a goal back for the home side, it came too late to prevent Newcastle picking up three points and climbing two places to 12th in the table. Fulham, although safe from relegation, are 16th.
