A goal from substitute Ruben Bagger 21 minutes into extra time enabled Brøndby IF to defeat FC Midtjylland 3-2 in today's Danish Cup final in Copenhagen.

Skoubo strike
Despite dominating the early stages at the Parken stadium, Brøndby survived a scare in the 35th minute when Midtjylland striker David Nielsen hit the post. However, six minutes later they were in front as Morten Skoubo slotted in Mads Jørgensen's fine pass.

Brøndby shocked
That lead was wiped out 30 seconds in the second half, Midtjylland midfield player Michael Hansen sending a fine shot into the Brøndby net from a tight angle. Then, on 59 minutes, the underdogs took the lead through Ghana striker Ratzak Pimpong's header.

Pimpong off
Inside seven minutes, however, Pimpong was dismissed and Brøndby took advantage to equalise in the 75th minute, Kim Daugaard taking the tie into extra time. Just as penalties loomed, Bagger stepped up to convert Johan Elmander's header and seal a place in next season's UEFA Cup.
