Club Brugge KV will lift their 13th Belgian First Division title on Sunday if they avoid defeat at home to second-placed RSC Anderlecht, who are six points behind with two matches to go.

Brugge dominance
Brugge have dominated the top flight this season, losing only twice; Anderlecht ran out 2-1 victors in the reverse fixture in December, before KRC Genk beat the leaders by the same scoreline in March. Trond Sollied's side missed the chance to clinch the championship last weekend, however, drawing 0-0 at bottom side RAEC Mons, which allowed Anderlecht to keep their hopes alive with a 3-0 success against KFC Germinal Beerschot Antwerpen.

Fintess worries
For the decisive encounter, Brugge will be without Peter Van der Heyden, while captain Timmy Simons and Rune Lange are doubtful. Defending champions Anderlecht have a question mark against defender Vincent Kompany's fitness.

Vercauteren promise
"We need one point to secure second place and [UEFA] Champions League football [next season], but we'll be going for a win," said Anderlecht coach Franky Vercauteren. "It's not our style to play for a goalless draw, our strength is our attack."

Sollied target
His Brugge counterpart Sollied, on the verge of leading Brugge to the title for the second time, is similarly positive. "We will play our normal game," said the Norwegian. "We always play to win."
