Fambri winner
Domagnano triumphed in the title play-offs after a 2-1 victory against S.S. Murata in the final on 11 May. Second-half goals from Marco Casadei and Giacomo Fambri either side of a Matteo Cecchini effort made Domagnano's day. It was the club's third championship in four years and made up for defeat on penalties in last year's showpiece against S.S. Pennarossa.
Second round
After the play-off first round on 19 April, the second round took place four days later with the two group winners from the regular season playing the first-round winners. Group A's top team SP Tre Penne lost 5-4 on penalties to Domagnano after a 1-1 draw while Group B's élite side SP Libertas triumphed 1-0 after extra time against S.S. Virtus.
Another chance
The third round fell on 28 April and saw first-round losers Murata and SP Tre Fiori take on the losers from the second round. Murata bounced back with a 7-1 success against Tre Penne including two goals from Cecchini. Tre Fiori had no such luck, going down 2-0 after extra time against Virtus to join Tre Penne in elimination.
Palanghi the hero
The two winners from the second round – Domagnano and Libertas - got the fourth round under way the following day with a showdown to determine the first finalist. Again the match ran for 120 minutes after a goalless first 90, before Daniele Palanghi's two goals and another from Casadei ensured a 3-0 success for Domagnano.
Solitary strike
Murata then kept alive their final dream in the fourth round's concluding game – a duel between the two third-round winners – with a 1-0 victory against Virtus. The only goal came in the tenth minute courtesy of Federico Donati. It meant Murata would meet Libertas in the only semi-final on 6 May, with the winners progressing to face Domagnano. Murata prevailed 3-2 on penalties following a 1-1 draw but were to be denied when it mattered most.
Pazzaglia leads way
Although San Marino's champions do not earn a UEFA Champions League spot, Domagnano will play in the UEFA Cup. Matteo Pazzaglia of S.S. Montevito finished as the league's top scorer - despite his team's non-involvement in the play-offs - with Domagnano's Casadei one goal behind.
