Van Hooijdonk joins in
All of the tournament participants were treated to an appearance by local hero Pierre van Hooijdonk. The Fenerbahçe striker signed autographs, took part in skills competitions and played a five-a-side match with the participants and his five-year old son, Sydney. The day also featured training sessions, apparel testing and a chance to have a photograph taken with the European Champion Clubs' Cup.

Grassroots programme
UEFA Young Champions is organised around the Champions League final each year. It is part of the UEFA grassroots programme, and is supported by adidas.
