The UEFA Referees' Committee today appointed the eight officials who will oversee the semi-finals of UEFA WOMEN'S EURO 2005™.

Germany-Finland
Czech referee Dagmar Damkova will get the first semi-final between Germany and Finland under way in Preston on Wednesday at 18.30 local time. The 30-year-old English teacher from Pilsen previously took charge of the Finns when they drew 0-0 with Sweden in Blackpool and later oversaw Norway's 5-3 defeat of Italy in Preston. Damkova will be assisted by Miroslava Migalova of Slovakia and Croatia's Blazenka Logarusic with England's Wendy Toms the fourth official.

Sweden-Norway
Twenty-four hours later the action switches south to the Halliwell Jones stadium in Warrington where Scandinavian bragging rights are at stake as Sweden tackle Norway for a place in Sunday's final. American Kari Seitz, who took charge of another of Sweden's Scandinavian encounters, the opener against Denmark, as well as Germany versus Italy, will be the woman in the middle with Spain's Yolanda Parga and Katarzyna Nadolska of Poland running the lines. Again, Toms is the fourth official.

Impressive displays
Seitz was selected for the semi-finals having impressed in her two matches to date: Sweden's 1-1 draw with Denmark in Blackpool and Germany's 4-0 success against Italy at Deepdale.
