Celtic loan
The English Premiership clubs have agreed a fee in the region of €8.75m for the 25-year-old, who had a medical at Ewood Park on Thursday before signing a four-year contract. Bellamy joined Newcastle in 2001, but after 28 goals in 93 league games for the north-east side, he fell out with manager Graeme Souness and moved to Celtic FC on loan in January.
Welsh reunion
Bellamy struck seven times in 12 Scottish Premier League matches, helping Celtic to victory in the Scottish Cup final in May. The Glaswegians, together with several Premiership teams, were thought to be keen to land Bellamy outright but the forward has opted to link up with former Wales manager Mark Hughes at Blackburn.
