Beretta and Bucci in Parma pledge

Parma FC have appointed Mario Beretta as coach and given goalkeeper Luca Bucci a new one-year contract.

Chievo spell
The 45-year-old Beretta spent last season in charge of Parma's Serie A rivals AC Chievo Verona. However, he left the club three matches before the end of a disappointing campaign in which they narrowly avoided relegation.

Zoratto to assist
He becomes the third coach at Parma inside 12 months following Silvio Baldini and Pietro Carmignani, with the latter switching to the helm of the club's youth team. Daniele Zoratto will be Beretta's assistant.

New deal
Meanwhile, 36-year-old Bucci, who arrived on a free transfer from Empoli FC last January, has signed a one-year deal. Bucci played for Parma from 1993-97, helping the club win the UEFA Cup in 1995.
