City capture Villa's Vassell

Four-year contract
City, who last week sold winger Shaun Wright-Phillips to Chelsea FC, could partner Vassell with another new arrival, former English international Andrew Cole. The 25-year-old, who has scored six goals for his country, has agreed a four-year contract after passing a medical.

All-round agreement
Villa manager David O'Leary, having recently signed forward Kevin Phillips, said of Vassell: "He had a year left on his contract, we've been offered good money by Manchester City, so it suits everybody all round as it stands."
