English Premiership club West Bromwich Albion FC have completed the €4.4m signing of striker Nathan Ellington from newly promoted Wigan Athletic FC.
Striking options
The 24-year-old had a year to run on his deal at Wigan but has now been handed a four-year contract at West Brom. Ellington will have stiff competition for a place with the club already boasting the likes of Nwankwo Kanu, Robert Earnshaw, Kevin Campbell and Geoff Horsfield.
'Strong and quick'
West Brom manager Bryan Robson said: "Nathan is a great athlete, very strong and quick and has a good goalscoring record." West Brom began their 2005/06 campaign with a goalless draw at Manchester City FC, while Wigan lost 1-0 at home to Chelsea FC.
